A Per-User QoS Enhancement Strategy via Downlink Cooperative Transmission Using Distributed Antennas
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this letter, we address a strategy to enhance the signalto-interference plus noise ratio (SINR) of the worst-case user by using cooperative transmission from a set of geographically separated antennas. Unlike previously reported schemes which are based on either the power control of individual antennas or cooperative orthogonal transmission, the presented strategy utilizes the minimum-mean-squared error (MMSE) filter structure for beamforming, which provides increased robustness to the external interference as well as the background noise at the receiver. By iteratively updating the cooperative transmission beamforming vector and power control (PC), the balanced SINR is obtained for all users, while the transmission power from each antenna also converges to within the constrained value. It is demonstrated that proposed MMSE beamforming significantly outperforms other existing schemes in terms of the achievable minimum SINR. key words: beamforming, pOlVer control, SINR balancing, duality

متن کاملEfficient Feedback via Subspace Based Channel Quantization for Downlink Transmission in Distributed Cooperative Antenna Systems
It is one of the biggest challenges of multi-user distributed cooperative antenna (COOPA) systems to provide base stations (BSs) with downlink channel information for transmit filtering (precoding). The analog pilot retransmission method is efficient in terms of resources but is vulnerable to noise enhancement effects. The precoder codebook based feedback schemes are not applicable since they a...

متن کاملMulti - User Multi - Antenna Cooperative Cellular Systems
To meet the very high data rate requirements for wireless Internet and multimedia services, cooperative systems with multiple antennas have been proposed for future generation wireless systems. In this thesis, we focus on multiple antennas at the source, relay and destination. We study both downlink and uplink cooperative systems with single antenna relays. For downlink systems, the optimal pre...

We study the converse and achievability for the degrees of freedom of the multicellular multiple-input multipleoutput (MIMO) multiple access channel (MAC) with constant channel coefficients. We assume L > 1 homogeneous cells with K ≥ 1 users per cell where the users have M antennas and the base stations are equipped with N antennas. The degrees of freedom outer bound for this L-cell and K-user ...
